jewelry care
How do i care for my jewelry?
Store your jewelry in a dry, air-tight area. Clean with mildly sudsy water, rinse well and pat dry with a non-scratching cloth. Polish gently with a jewelry polishing cloth. Take extra care around perspiration, saltwater, chlorine, perfume and lotions, as they can tarnish jewelry faster.
Store/hang your jewelry away from other metals. Exposure to hooks or trays made with base metals will cause jewelry to oxidize.Avoid exposing your jewelry to water. The minerals/chemicals in tap water, pools, saunas, beaches, etc. will cause jewelry to oxidize quickly. It is also a good idea to avoid spraying oils or perfume directly on jewelry. This includes ALL self-tanning products. Remove jewelry before working out or doing other vigorous activities. Remove before sleeping.
Will my jewelry tarnish?
All precious metals will tarnish with wear. The best way to avoid tarnishing is to not wear your jewelry in the shower or while working out, and keep it away from chemicals. It is the customer’s responsibility to clean their own jewelry. It is easy to remove light stains, tarnishing and fingerprints with a little bit of care.
Material used
We love to mix materials, which is why we offer several types of affordable and durable materials.
Plating is a process of covering a material (metal or plastic, for example) with a thin layer of gold, silver or rhodium. It can be of varying thickness, which influences the durability of the jewelry.
Brass:
This material is used as a base and never as a finish. It is an alloy composed of copper and zinc, it can be gold, silver or red. This one will always be plated. Brass, exposed to air, will oxidize if all the plating is rubbed off. This is why it is important to take good care of your jewelry. ( Some earring charms or pendants are made with brass. When covered with resin it will protect the metal for a longer period of time.)
Stainless:
All of our necklaces ( chains and components) are made with stainless steel.. Also called stainless steel, All of our earring backs / hook/ huggies are also made of stainless steel. / hypoallergenic. this metal is not very sensitive to corrosion and without plating, it can be worn at any time. It is tougher than silver and a darker silvery color.
Sterling Silver 925: a higher quality of jewelry will be available soon with sterling silver and gold filled - All our silver jewelry is made in solid Sterling Silver 925. It is the most common form of silver used in jewelry, containing 92.5% pure silver and 7.5% copper. The copper is added to make the silver harder and more suitable for jewelry.
Allergies
We cannot guarantee that our jewelry is hypoallergenic. Indeed, each skin reacts differently to metals. If you have sensitive skin, we advise you to shop for the collection based on .925 sterling silver. Unfortunately, no metal is actually 100% non-allergic. However, sterling silver is 92.5% hypoallergenic. A metal that claims to be hypoallergenic is a metal that minimizes allergic reactions. We therefore cannot guarantee that you will not react to the jewelry.
We are not responsible for your allergic reactions. Please note that we will not be able to make a return if the jewel has been worn or has signs of wear, so take the time before making your choice.
In addition, it is normal and inevitable that with time, friction, sweat, heat
, skin acidity, the plating may alter.
